In July 2023, our Zion & St. John’s Fellowship Group will travel up to Minnesota with the highlight events being the performance of “Laura Ingalls Wilder” and a “Martin Luther College” Tour.

Our Zion and St. John’s Fellowship Committee is planning a trip out up north to Minnesota this summer. This three-day, two-night trip includes a tour of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, shopping and fun at the Mall of America, and a visit to Laura Ingalls Wilder’s childhood hometown of Walnut Grove, Minnesota. We will also tour the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum, celebrate “Pageant Days,” and experience the Wilder Pageant “Fragments of a Dream” - a live, family oriented outdoor drama based on the life & times of the Ingalls family in 1870’s America. The nighttime play is narrated by Laura herself and takes place at a hillside theater along the banks of Plum Creek. We will attend a Sunday morning WELS Church Service.

Depart from Zion Lutheran Church, Kingston at 7: 00 am (please arrive 10 minutes early for loading)
Arrive at Mall of America in Bloomington, MN at approximately 11:30 am
Eat, shop, and play at the Mall of America
Depart Bloomington at 3:00 pm. Arrive in New Ulm, MN at approximately 4:30 pm.

DAY TWO – Saturday, July 8

Return to Hotel 1:45 pm. Depart Hotel at 3:00 pm.
